If you have ever had difficulty finding a bra that fits? Then this is the class for you! Our bra making class is designed to teach students to construct bras that actually fit properly and at a fraction of the cost for ready made. This is a "hands-on" class. By the last class each student will have a bra pattern that is customized to their individual shape. Instruction focuses on making a bra that is comfortable to wear. Students will construct a basic white tricot/powernet bra (with or without underwires.) Students will also learn how to fine-tune their patterns to create the perfect custom fit bra. The correct way to measure for a proper fitting bra will be demonstrated and each student will be measured. Kits will also be available for purchase. Minimum Class size: 3 Maximum Class size: 6 Skill Level III: Students need to have good basic sewing skills and able to use a sewing machine. Classes consist of two sessions. Session 1: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a half hour lunch Pattern, fabric and measurement for proper size. Each student will trace off their own pattern and learn how to choose the proper fabric and notions as well as how to lay out and cut the pattern pieces. Session 2: 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. Demonstrations of construction techniques, final fittings and professional finishing. Cost: $125 plus a $50 kit fee - $50 deposit required Openings are still available for
