At Claflin Academy we offer contemporary sewing classes & private lessons for all levels. Learn to sew the latest styles in clothing, accessories and home accessories!
We offer a wide variety of fun and affordable sewing classes taught by local professionals. Our classes are hands-on, project-oriented in a creative, laid back and supportive atmosphere. You'll walk away with a finished product from every sewing class.

At Claflin Academy you are strongly encouraged to work at your own pace. Our class sizes are small so that each student receives plenty of personal attention. As a result, we have a limited number of spaces available, so reserve early!

Skill Levels

Claflin Academy offers a wide range of classes to meet the needs of a variety of sewers on all skill levels. Each of our classes is rated according to skill level. When selecting classes, look for ones that meet your sewing abilities. We are dedicated to helping you advance your sewing skills.

Skill Level I: For the true beginner. Basic sewing skills will be taught. No sewing experience necessary.

Skill Level II: For advanced beginners and those coming back to sewing. Should have some basic sewing skills.

Skill Level III: For the sewer with some sewing experience and average skills. Further your sewing knowledge with more complicated procedures and techniques.

Skill Level IV: For those sewers who need a challenge. Advanced details and professional techniques will be presented.
